Hearts of gold and souls so bold

Saturday blew my mind after my eyes made by heart witness many things some which have always been the images of the day in my life. When I was little, I thought that angels had wings and lived in heaven, but under the golden sky where vehicles were passing by to go home after work or school or anything else, I saw some angels living under the bridge. Some approach every vehicle that stops at a red light to offer their wares. Some also on the side of the road helping others to cross the road for nothing. Some went around peddling to clean the shoes of passers-by. They have no time to weep, no time to daydream, just toiling like oxen on the field. They fight against the lines of their destiny, but they have more spirit than the people out there who are seen as great. They are not motivators nor inspirers, but they inspire me to be more grateful. I just realized that angels are among us, not only in heaven. Angels can be found anywhere every day in all unexpected places. Although their faces were tired, they continued to paint seraphic smiles to show off to the world and their eyes shone bright as if the world was in their grasp. They don’t dream and have high hopes, they just want their basic needs met and they don’t wait for big things to be grateful. Angels don’t have wings, but they have hearts of gold and souls so bold.
